I then use Reaper to record two separate tracks with these settings:Īnd then one track is VM-VAIO 1 (= my voice), and the other input is VM-Vaio 7/8 (= computer / the other persons voice). In Voicemeeter, I'm sending the microphone hardware input to the virtual (B) output, and the person I'm talking to gets through the "A" virtual input, which is voicemeeter VAIO as my "Standard Audio". Through a hardware mixer, I'm sending the computer sound to my earphones, and my microphone (that goes through a hardware channel strip for better audio) as a mix-minus to the computer. (one track with two speakers is a mess, especially since my opposite often has very different audio quality than I do), I needed to record myself and the opposite side on TWO tracks.

To be able to have TWO separate tracks that I can separately level/compress/etc. distort and compress) the audio of the local (= my) voice recording as well, I wanted to record my voice in parallel locally when doing a session. Here's the situation - I'm doing recorded interviews for a podcast over Skype/Zoom, and because both usually alter (e.g. I am trying to find out if Voicemeeter can do the following, but I can't wrap my head around this, maybe anyone can help. First of all, Vincent, thanks a TON for creating this and even more amazingly, making this donationware!
