I had the opportunity to meet FXhome CEO Josh Davies in Los Angeles several years ago, and one of the things discussed was other companies which had expressed interest in acquiring FXhome. All respect to hard working interns, the world over, but, in this case it's Javert - freaking - Valbarr communicating with the users, not someone we don't know, right? 👍 There are few companies where senior Staff and frontline developers are active on their social media feeds.

If there's one thing FXhome has consistently excelled at, it's the level of discourse and transparency the company has had with we users! FXhome will continue to advocate for us. We'll all keep our fingers crossed, but, if you read my main post in this thread, it's more about how Josh and team convinced we Mods/Ambassadors how this is truly a great opportunity for FXhome to make better product for the community. In fact, FXhome will continue to advocate for the current model. So, FXhome forum mods and Ambassadors had a chance to talk with Josh, Kirstie, Phil, Javert and Axel from FXhome yesterday about this announcement, and, while things may change at some point in the future, at this time there are no plans to move Hitfilm to a full subscription model.
