I may be the only one here, but I felt more when Shamrock was shot down, than when Chopper was. It wasn't very long and the story wasn't incredibly complex like in AC0, but it was cinematic and character-driven. On the other hand, I think AC6 was actually good, multiplayer and all. The whole peace-love-kumbaya thing didn't really sit right with me coming from people whose careers centered around killing people with very big, expensive flying guns. In fact, I'd say it was so good, it turned the references it made to AC5, into references AC5 was making to AC0. AC0 made up for it in spades, though, playing the perfect prequel. No, I agree that AC5 had a mediocre story. I'll at least have some satisfaction in PvP and in dealing with the loss of players in Co-Op. Pls more skins that way I can piss off people if PvP does come. Plus, PvE is the way we're used to playing AC, so it only makes sense to make that the primary goal for multiplayer.

I can't really see how anyone enjoys this. I know how fun and satisfying it is to shoot down players online with your Gen 5 planes and all but dealing with the net code just makes it so. PvP should not be in any future AC games. All it needed was some tweaks and you've got yourself an okay game mechanic. I would have liked it to not be required for every kill, but yeah, it was fun for a bit. But it's safe to say it was the weakest of the PS2 series and not in my top 5 Ace Combats.ĭFM was not that bad. You also had some frame rate issues whenever you hit or destroyed a target, but maybe that's just me. See, you couldn't switch to a certain target even when they were right in front of you. It was kind of bland and bleak and was generally not very exciting. Spoiler Warning Btw, we're only listing our opinions but you're welcome to explain why that is.Īce Combat 5's story was meh at most. Yes, it's that time of year(?) again, where, for once, people can vent their opinions about a certain topic and let it be acceptable! This time, were covering the Ace Combat series in general, and boy do I want to hear your.
